A painting in which we are in two places at once; a landscape with two crows and a Lakota burial creche on the twelfth hole of a golf green, and outer space where a nebula forms a uroboros. It is about the round of birth and death. The female crow wears a necklace with the twelfth sign of the zodiac.
James H. Vredevoogd holds a BA from Michigan State University and an MFA in painting from Cranbrook Academy of Art. His paintings are in the permanent collections of two museums, two universities, and various private collections. An Emeritus professor of Art at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, he taught painting, drawing, and performance Art for thirty-two years.
